Ultramat

The BIRRUS 'ULTRAMAT' is our Flagship product and offers a quality finish for your building entrance which will complement the visual impact of any building.

Birrus Ultramat is constructed from alternate treads of aluminium and carpet running across the doorway. It is ideal for interior or exterior applications. The carpet treads are securely held within extruded aluminium retaining sections which are lightly furrowed on the exposed surface to produce a non-skid surface.

Available in a range of more than 25 colours, the Birrus Ultramat system is an excellent way to personalise the entry of your building. Click on COLOURS to see the range available.

ULTRAMAT is available in 10mm Open Construction 'Slimline' (above right), and in 10mm & 16mm Closed Construction (above left). For the 'Slimline' mats an Open Construction aluminium extrusion system is linked with a perforated joining strip to allow for drainage. Note: Anodising is a coating which will, in time, wear with surface contact. Refer to specification form for more details.

Slip resistance is a very important part of product selection, particularly in an area which could be exposed to rain water and wet shoes. To aid in this selection Birrus has had their range of products wet slip tested by a NATA accredited test company. Send us an email to recieve a copy of the certificates EMAIL

Installation

Birrus Matting Systems require and internal recess depth of 12mm or 20mm. Standard Birrus matwell frames are fabricated using aluminium alloy, brass and stainless steel angle for compatibility with our mats.

Place framing in the recess, and set angles level with adjoining floor surfaces. Grout in or screw fix as required. Contractors are advised, to ensure proper performance of the entire assembly it is absolutely necessary that base of matwell is formed to a level plane.

Care and Maintenance

Vacuum clean matting regularly and if required spot clean carpet inserts with dry shampoo, or steam clean as required.

Replacement of inserts is a simple job carried out on your premises. A full range of inserts is available from your local distributor.

Restore lustre to ribbed aluminium sections by lightly rubbing over with abrasive wool.
